ABOUT US What is the Human Issues Program? The Human Issues Studies Program (HISP) is a campus-wide academic program designed to link student' educational experiences to real, personal and community-based issues. HISP supports students through the process of designing and completing their Human Issues Studies experience, a graduation requirement for all Edgewood students. Many tell us that their projects have not only significantly changed how they view the world but have also made a difference in the lives of others. Promoting deep learning, reflective practice, and community engagement are among the primary goals of this program.
